- driving on MassPike, flags flapping from cars driving by
- state police sitting guard by all bridgesover rivers "just in case"

- US bombing Afghanistan

- national concern for suspicious envelopes with white powder in them
- it's autumn, I'd rather be thinking about how beautiful the color of the leaves are right now
- leaves are falling here
- bombs and food packages are falling in Afghanistan
-ooops, a Red Cross building and civilian homes accidently bombed in Afghanistan

-unseasonably warm weather in New England. Wearing a t-shirt in December!
-Humanitarian aide package of tents, blankets, etc crashes through the roof of a Afghanistan house and kills a woman
-my son turned 16, got his learner's permit, is learning to drive and is enjoying his new Nintendo system.
-we had our first snow storm this winter and got 6" of snow.

-USA is looking for Osama in caves in Afghanistan
-it's officially winter. No snow in Boston right now, but there is snow in the mountains of Afghanistan.
-starting to do web design for work, not just vollunteer
-a man tried to use his sneakers to blow up a plane. Who would have guessed this?
-crunching numbers and doing end of the year bookkeeping
